アメリカでハプニング（罰金）さすがに楽しめない<Enjoy? happening, fine in USA>

今回は、ブログの自主ルールに反して楽しめない体験も記録のために残したい。

<In this time, I'd like to record my un-happy incident despite of out of my self rule.>

カリフォルニア州に渡米して最初はExtended Hotelという長期滞在者用の少し安い目のホテルを利用した。

<The beggining of moving to California, I have stayed "Extended Hotel" that is resonable price and good for long stay people. >

このホテルは、チェーンホテルで主な街にはあり、滞在期間が長くなると割安になるという特徴がある。

<The hotel is one of national chain hotel, so main town has it. And the unit price gets low when stay gets long.>

さらに各部屋には小さなキッチンがあって、食器などもフロントで借りれる、まさに長期滞在者にはぴったりなホテルだ。

<Each room has a small kitchen, and borrowing the dishes is possible from the hotel front.>

渡米して最初にしたことは車を買うことだった。

<The first thing I did when I arrived US was to buy a car.>

車を購入した際に、住所登録をホテルの住所で行った。

<When I bought it, I reistered my address with the hotel's address.>

その後、アパートに移ったんだが、１年後に車の納税の案内がホテルに届いたんだと思う。

<Then, I have moved to a apartment. I gess an anual tax notice for the car should arrive at the hotel.>

そして自分は毎年納税するということも知らなかったので、何も気にしていなかった。

<And I haven't knew that I had to pay the anual tax.>

ある時、会社の同僚が車を乗り換えたという話をしてきて、その際に乗り換えた理由が、前のは古くて痛みが激しく、納税期間が迫っていたからだと言った。

<One day, my collegue told me that he changed his car because old one had a lot of issues and the tax deadline was coming up.>

そこで初めて毎年払いで自分が既に半年も滞納していることに気づいた。

<At that time, I realized that I was already half year behind from my tax payment.>

すぐさま、インターネットでカリフォルニアの管理事務所のホームページにアクセスし、滞納していることと支払方法を尋ねた。

<Immediately, I visited homepage of California's pax-office, and I asked how I pay it.>

通常年間の税額は百数十ドルだと思うが、自分は罰金も含め400ドル強を支払うことになった。

<I gess the annual tax fee should be a hundred and so dollors, but I have payed about $400 that include the fine.>

しかしこれも今となってはいい経験だ。楽しむブログに記録しても悪くはないだろう。

<But it is a good learning oppotunity now, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to write it in this blog.>
